LAB SESSIONS

Get equipped for ministry in smaller breakouts covering topics on leadership, ministry skills, and personal growth.

Evangelism in a Skeptical World

The world today is becoming more pluralistic, volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous. In such a world, our churches will definitely reach out and share the gospel with the non-believers who are having doubts and reservations to the information that is offered to them. How then can we engage these people? Join us as we explore how we can evangelise in a skeptical world.

Cultivating a Vibrant Prayer Life as a Leader

Being a leader in church means that we have to keep watch over our flock and give an account to God. This means we carry a lot of burden. But we do not need to bear these burdens alone if we bring them to God in prayer. Moreover, as we yearn for revival in our churches, it is inevitable that we, the leaders in the church, learn first how to pray and seek God as the first option and not as the last resort. Join us, as we look into the cultivation of a vibrant prayer life as a leader.

Doing Church
as a Team

Leading a church is not a one-man show. Ultimately, church is not only the business of those who are serving him full time but also the ministry of those who consider themselves as members of the church. Hence, we need to do church as a team. This session aims to equip leaders on some practical tips to build their team as they pioneer and lead their churches.

Theology for Ministry: How Doctrines Affect Pastoral Practices

Theology is more than an academic exercise. At its core, anyone who talks and preaches about God and the gospel is effectively dealing with theology. As such, there is a deeper relationship between our doctrines and ministry than we realise. Join us as we explore how theology affects our pastoral and ministry practices.

Living Out an Evangelistic Lifestyle

Evangelism is more than just running church outreach events and special evangelistic services. We are all called to share the gospel and make disciples wherever we go – as part of our lifestyles. Join us, as we learn how to live out an evangelistic lifestyle as a leader and impart the same spirit to our churches.

MAKING FINANCIAL INVESTMENTS AS CHRISTIANS

Raphael & Emma

Making financial investments as a means to accumulate wealth seems antithetical to the Christian worldview of living in contentment. Is there a way for Christians to make financial investments in a God-honouring manner? Join us for a conversation about investments, money and returns as we navigate the finance world together through the lens of Scripture.

ALPHA PROGRAM THROUGH MY LG

Larry

The Alpha program is a short series of sessions which seeks to introduce the Christian faith to people around us. Alpha is particularly suited for various types of people who are keen to know more about our faith. Perhaps they are reluctant to attend a church service, or they wish to explore the faith after hearing the gospel through an evangelistic event. If you are keen to learn how to conduct Alpha through your life group, join us as we equip ourselves to pass on this gospel of grace!

COLOURS OF CHURCH HISTORY

Huan Yan

The doctrines and ministry practices that we know today did not descend from vacuum and were developed throughout history, as the Church gradually grew to become a globally recognised faith. How has history shaped the Church into what it is today? What are some lessons we can glean from church history? Join us as we go back in time and see how God has sovereignly molded His church even till today.

INTRODUCTION TO SPIRIT BAPTISM

Robert, Liza & Gladys

What is the significance of Holy Spirit baptism? As a church, why do we practise the speaking of tongues? Can every believer be baptised in the Holy Spirit? If you’ve ever wondered about these questions, join this session to gain a biblical understanding of the baptism of the Holy Spirit and its importance for our personal growth in Christ.

FACILITATING GOOD DISCUSSIONS

Buan Hua & Patrina

Do you struggle to plan and facilitate good discussions at lifegroup? How can we ask meaningful and reflective questions? What are some ways in which we can seize opportunities during the discussion and turn them into teachable moments? This session aims to equip you with practical skills and tips for facilitation with the eventual aim of leading people into greater awareness and growth in their walk with God.

MENTORING AND LEADING OURSELVES

Pastor Dennis

Christian leaders often view our leadership role as influencing and impacting people who have been entrusted to our care. However, we sometimes neglect the most important person we will lead – ourselves. Failure to lead ourselves well may inhibit our ability to lead others. Through this session, learn ways that we can mentor and lead ourselves even through challenging circumstances so that we can run and finish the race faithfully.
